Based off of the Romanian Model 1964 machine gun, which was the Romanian variant of the Soviet RPK light machine gun. This example was manufactured by Cugir Arms Factory in Romania and later imported by Century Arms International. The left side of the receiver bears the serial number as well as the model and caliber designations, with the right side bearing manufacturer and importer information. Features include a 23" chrome lined barrel, aftermarket muzzle brake, folding bipod, carry handle, wood forend & RPK style buttstock, polymer pistol grip, standard AK pattern front and rear sights, as well as a leather Romanian manufactured sling. Sidemount is equipped with a Romanian PSL rifle LPS scope manufactured in 1975 and is marked "LPS 4x6 TIP2" on the dataplate. Sidemount does not properly fit optic and is loose. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, receiver cover, bolt carrier, and bolt. Butt trap cleaning kit is present. This example is accompanied by an extended magazine, scope cover, as well as a muzzle nut. CONDITION: Metal components show scattered superficial handling marks and scratches that show through to silvering, with usual wear on the receiver from the safety lever. Mirror bore, with well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows few handling marks overall. Optic shows some light spotting, but is otherwise clear and retains a sharp sight picture. A nice, semi-automatic example of a Romanian RPK rifle. MLW
