1913 vintage Winchester Model 1894 Trapper lever action saddle ring carbine, serial number 701730. 15" round barrel chambered in .30 Winchester Centerfire with folding carbine ladder rear sight, full-length magazine tube, and blade front. Two-piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with carbine buttplate. Comes with a period Winchester leather cartridge holder on buttstock. Accompanying this lot is an ATF exemption letter classifying this carbine as a Curio and Relic firearm not subject to the National Firearms Act because of its scarcity and age as well as its considerable interest among collectors. CONDITION: Very good, with a slight minority of original bluing remaining, with the balance turning a grey patina. Frame and lever assemblies are mostly a dull gray. Stock and forearm are very good with no major cracking or signs of distress. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is bright with crisp rifling. TON
