1908 vintage Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle, serial number 436718. 24" half octagon to round barrel chambered in .25-20 Winchester Centerfire with standard rifle rear sight, full-length magazine tube, and blade front. Two-piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with crescent rifle buttplate. Comes with a factory letter stating that the serial number was applied May 21, 1908 and concludes with "no other information is available for this serial number." CONDITION: Excellent plus, with barrel and magazine tube retaining virtually all of their original bluing. Frame retains most of the original bluing with the balance mixing to a brown patina. Stock and forearm are excellent plus with minor handling marks throughout. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
