Professionally framed montage of the German World War II battleship Bismarck measuring 41" x 34". The centerpiece of the display is a photo with the specifications of the Bismarck measuring 23" x 18". There are seven photos (one appears to be World War II era original, and the other six are copies), of which six depict the battleship at sea during its fateful mission in May of 1941, and another depicting a funeral memorial afterwards. Another photo depicts the launching of the Bismarck in 1939, and another presents a small flyer of the 55th anniversary of the Bismarck's sinking; both appear to be era originals. There is also a postcard, which appears to be an era original, of Admiral Lutjens, the fleet commander, who was lost at sea on May 27, 1941. Mounted on the presentation are reproductions of a Kriegsmarine High Seas medal, a KM officer's gold breast eagle, and a crest patch of the warship. Six officer's tunic buttons and a "Kriegsmarine" naval cap tally are also mounted and appear to be World War II era originals. Consignor has provided foiur pages of documents (attached on the back) which describe the montage, the items, and an eBay purchase sheet. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
