Lot consist of: (A) Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle with bayonet. Made 1937 with a Springfield production "9-38" dated barrel. Swept back bolt handle, marked "NS" on the top. "AAA" arsenal stamp on the left side of the stock. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist of the stock. Original blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 2,700 meters. Front sight protector is marked "R" on each side. Metal components retain their original parkerized finish. Serrated trigger and milled trigger group. Pistol grip "C" stock with no finger grooves. Checkered metal butt plate with trap door. Includes a "1919" dated Springfield production Model 1905 bayonet and scabbard. Scabbard is marked "USN/MK1" on the front. CONDITON: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with general wear. Stock has some minor dings and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Muzzle gauges at a one. Mechanically fine. Bayonet is very good overall with general wear on the blade. Blade has not been sharpened. Scabbard has some light wear as well. (B) Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle with bayonet. Made late 1918. Barrel is Springfield production and is dated "10-18", under a flaming bomb. "AAB" arsenal stamp on the left side of the stock. Stock has a circled "P" firing proof on the wrist as well. There is a "FF/53" marked on the left side. Blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 2,700 meters. Most metal components were arsenal parkerized at some point. Smooth face trigger with a milled trigger guard. Straight grip wood stock with finger groves. Smooth metal butt plate with trapdoor. Includes a Remington production Model 1917 Enfield bayonet and scabbard. Bayonet is dated 1917 and the scabbard is marked "M-1917" under the "flaming bomb". CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its arsenal reapplied finish. Stock has a few dings scratches and dents. Bore has some light frosting, but retains crisp rifling. Muzzle gauges at a two. Mechanically fine. Bayonet is excellent with light wear. Wood grips have a few chips, with a few handling marks. Blade has not been sharpened. Scabbard has light wear. JWA
