3rd Model made in the 1880s by Hopkins & Allen. 7" round barrel with 1-line Merwin Hulbert address and Hopkins & Allen markings on left side. Integral blade front sight and frame notch rear. Frame marked "CALIBER/WINCHESTER 1873" indicating chambering in .44-40. 6-shot cylinder with standard style flutes. Square butt with lanyard loop removed. 2-piece checkered mottled red and black hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Good. Metal has been heavily cleaned to an even gray with some light pitting. Markings soft. Grips very good with some handling marks. Fine bore with well defined rifling. Good mechanics. Matching assembly numbers observed on fame, cylinder, and barrel assembly. BAS
