GOLD LIPSTICK CONTAINER ATTRIBUTED TO EVA BRAUN

14 karat gold lipstick container attributed to Eva Braun marked "14k, .585", "1936", and with her monogram of "EB". Finely detailed lipstick holder has a sliding piece which moves the lipstick up, a closure cap, and several gold chains. Container is from the ex-Lattimer collection and was featured on page 64 (photo copy of page included) of the book "Hitler's Fatal Sickness and Other Secrets of the Nazi Leaders; Behind the Scenes at the Nuremberg Trial with John K. Lattimer, M.D. Sc.D. Consulting Physician" published in 1999. Dr. Lattimer served in the 82nd Airborne Division and was present at the Nuremberg Trials, and brought home many historically significant pieces. The monogram present on this container is identical to the style of monogram found on many other of Eva Braun's former possessions. Container does not appear to have any damage, and exhibits a pleasing patina. A unique opportunity to own a great piece of history with rock solid provenance. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
