Lot consists of: (A) World War II unengraved and unnumbered slot brooch Purple Heart medal with extra ribbon in rare "one line" coffin case. CONDITION: The medal is very clean, the case exhibits scattered blemishes, and the catch on the lid is broken. (B) WWII unengraved and unnumbered slot brooch Purple Heart medal with extra ribbon, ribbon bar, and lapel pin in rare "one line" coffin case. CONDITION: The ribbon bar is tarnished, medal is clean. The case exhibits scattered blemishes. (C) WWII unengraved and unnumbered slot brooch Purple Heart medal with ribbon bar and lapel pin in rare "one line" coffin case. CONDITION: The medal is clean. The case exhibits scattered blemishes. (D) WWII unengraved slot brooch Purple Heart medal with ribbon bar and lapel pin in rare "one line" coffin case. The medal is numbered "346244" on the lower left corner. CONDITION: The ribbon is tarnished, medal is clean. The case is clean with scattered blemishes. (E) WWII 1942/43 Rex Products slot brooch Purple Heart with a flat enamel, lacquer, and polished phenolic resin heart with lapel pin in rare "one line" coffin case. The case also contains a screw back EGA, two VFW pins, a Disabled Veterans pin, and a nice USMC 3/8" ribbon bar that is marked ""Viking Kwikset" / Purple Heart / Pat. App.-Hilborn-Hamburger". There is also a four leaf clover that was preserved and laminated, perhaps this was carried by the veteran and he kept it with his Purple Heart. The medal is numbered "206649" on the lower left corner. CONDITION: The medal is worn and the case exhibits staining on the interior and has a clean exterior. The medals range from good-very good condition. The medals are accompanied by information that was gathered by the consigner. JLD
