Winchester Model 1892 lever action saddle ring carbine. Made 1908. 2 line company address and patent dates on the barrel. Standard trademark on the tang. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Round steel barrel with full length magazine tube. Blade front sight with carbine type rear ladder adjustable to 2,000 meters. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Original saddle ring stud and ring. Wood has a reapplied smooth oil finish. Smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with most areas forming a gentle patina. Left side of the frame has typical saddle ring wear. Wood is excellent. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
