Colt Ace semi-automatic pistol. First year production gun, made 1931. Standard 2-line company address and patent date on the left side of the slide. Rampant Colt pony on the left side as well, in front of the slide serrations. Right side of the slide is marked "COLT ACE (in diamond) .22 LONG/RIFLE". "VP" proof on the left side of the frame. Half-moon front sight with factory adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Original checkered wood grips. 2-tone blued steel magazine marked "COLT/ACE (in diamond) 22 L.R.". CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with some wear. Front sight was painted gold. Grips have light wear. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear.
