RARE Gold Plated Winchester 1873 One of One Thousand lever action rifle manufactured in Japan by Miroku and imported by Browning Arms Company for Winchester with matching factory box and associated paperwork. 24" octagon barrel chambered in .357 Magnum with Marbles tang sight and blade front. Gold plated receiver is machine engraved with scroll on a punchdot background. Left side depicting a bull moose in a meadow in his own vignette. Right side depicting elk in the scroll with 2 panels forward of loading gate with more scroll on background with blank ribbons and accenting geometrics across top. Barrel flats engraved with scroll on a punchdot background approximately 1 - 1/2" from breech with "ONE OF ONE THOUSAND" and a 1 - 1/2" set of engraving near muzzle on same flats. 2 piece checkered well-figured walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and checkered shotgun buttplate. Comes with original ad when this gun was run on Gunbroker and sold for over $6000 as well as a letter of authenticity from CDNN of Abilene, Texas confirming that this unique rifle was specifically built for the owner of CDNN's personal collection. CONDITION: Appears new in original box with all of the original finishes remaining. Stock and forearm near mint showing no wear. Action is crisp. Bore appears unfired. Gun appears new and unfired.
