Circa 1969. Made in Belgium by FN a semi-automatic rifle fit with a 19" round blued steel barrel chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. Barrel is built with an adjustable folding leaf sight, dovetail gold tip bead front sight, and is drilled and tapped with filler screws. Top of the barrel is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN BELGIUM". Right side of the barrel is marked "BROWNING PATENTS" while the left side is marked "22 LONG RIFLE". French grey receiver with cross-bolt safety and single smooth gold plated trigger is adorned with game scenes and foliate scroll engraving. Right side features a Setter with 3 flushing Mallards in a marsh and woodland scene, left side features a vignette of a Setter and 3 Pheasants in a woodland scene, and the top a portrait of a Spaniel holding retrieved Duck in its mouth. Left side vignette is signed "L. LAMBERT". Trigger guard bow also has light scrolls. Front of the receiver where it mates to the barrel also has the gun's serial number "69T22048". Extra deluxe feather crotch high gloss walnut pistol grip stock has 2 skip-line checkered panels and a blued steel serrated buttplate. Beavertail forearm similarly finished with matching checkering. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain approximately 99% original blue. Bores are bright at shiny. Stock and forearm with minor use/storage marks. Original factory box in good condition. (CP)
