Winchester "Thickside" action 1885 Highwall made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1905. 36" blued No. 4 weight octagon barrel in 38-55 caliber with Beech front sight and filled rear sight dovetail, fitted with non-factory Lyman Style scope blocks with front block fastened in the middle of Winchester Address. Blue flatspring "Thickside" action with standard single trigger lever. Plain straight walnut stock with "Swiss" butt. Non-matching checkered deluxe forearm with ebony inlay. Cody Research confirms this gun as starting out as a Highwall Musket. CONDITION: 95% overall condition remaining from total refurbishment. Stock has filler at rear of top tang. Excellent bore and mechanics. Would make an excellent period target gun. DLM
