New Army double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1901. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT. D.A. 38", with the top bearing Colt's 2-line address. Left side of frame bears the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Features include a high polish blue finish, 6" barrel, half-moon front sight, frame notched rear sight, as well as 2-piece encircled Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Matching assembly number "67" is present on the frame, cylinder crane, cylinder latch, and are also hand-scribed on the interior of the grip panels. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their original factory applied high polish blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear, thinning, and handling marks all around that show through to gray and brown patinas. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate oxidation and strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise fine. MLW
