Russian Izhevsk Mosin Nagant M44 bolt action carbine. Made 1946 at Izhevsk. Standard Russian proofs and markings on the chamber. Import marked on the barrel. Matching serials on the barrel shank, receiver, bolt, floor plate, and butt plate. Post front sight with rear tangent adjustable to 1,000 meters. Metal was arsenal refurbished sometime in the 1950s/60s. Stock has been sanded and has an arsenal repair at the toe. Smooth metal butt plate. Includes original green canvas sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its re-applied finish with general wear. Stock is excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
