Lot consist of: (A) Remington No.4 single shot rifle. Made turn of the century. Faint patent dates on the left side of the frame. Company address in front of the rear sight. Octagon barrel with nickel blade front sight and buckhorn v-notch rear sight. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Wood has its original light oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with most areas forming a heavy brown patina. wood has a few minor handling marks and scratches. Bore has a few minor pits, with very good overall rifling. Hammer will not stay cocked, will need adjustment. (B) Remington No.4 single shot rifle. Made turn of the century. Faint patent dates on the left side of the frame. Company address in front of the rear sight. Octagon barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn v-notch rear. Metal components have a light coat of aftermarket finish. Wood has a light oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its re-applied finish with general wear and patina. Some pitting visible under the re-applied finish. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is heavily frosted with fair rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
