Winchester Model 1895 lever action box magazine rifle made by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1904. 28" blued round tapered Nickel Steel barrel in "30 U.S." (30-40 Krag) with integral pinned blade front sight and Winchester 22 rear adjustable sight with Winchester two line address. Blued solid frame action With Winchester patents on left side of action, plain trigger, jointed lever and marked on tang "WINCHESTER -MODEL 1895-". Walnut standard straight stock with steel crescent buttplate and matching walnut standard forearm with ebony inlay. CONDITION: Metal worn to a silvery gray with some areas of discoloration. Wood has dry well used appearance with chip at toe and missing sling swivel holes with heavy usage marks. Dark pitted bore with good mechanics. DLM
