Lot consist of: (A) Marlin Model 1892 lever action rifle. Made circa 1910's. Two line company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. "Marlin/MODEL 92" on the top of the tang. Octagon, steel barrel with German silver blade front sight and buckhorn v-notch rear. Full length magazine tube. Metal components have their original blued finish. Wood has a light oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with most areas forming a gray/brown patina. Wood has dings and scratches. Solid forearm with no visible cracks. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Marlin Model 1894 lever action rifle. Made circa 1910's. Two line company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. "Marlin/MODEL 94" on the top of the tang. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and Marble's buckhorn v-notch rear. Full length magazine tube. Metal components have their original blued finish, with the frame and lever being case colored. Wood has a light oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Case coloring is mostly gone, with the frame forming a heavy brown patina. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Shiny bore with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
