3rd model manufactured circa 1890. 24" octagon barrel chambered in .44-40 with 2-line Winchester address and full length magazine tube. Blade front sight and buckhorn rear. 2-piece plain walnut stocks with steel forend cap and crescent trap butt. CONDITION: Very good. Metal components exhibit a pleasing dove gray patina with an added protective layer. Stocks have light impressions with an added coat of red varnish that has flaked off at several spots. Very good bright bore with strong rifling. Fine mechanics. BAS
