Circa 1959. A 20 gauge boxlock with 28" demi-bloc blued steel nitro proof Bohler barrels. Barrels are fit with 2 - 3/4" chambers, ejectors and a machined filed rib. Rib fit with a brass round front sight. Chokes are Modified and Improved Cylinder. Top barrel reads "GEBRUDER MERKEL SUHL" near breech. Barrels also fit with a long three piece splinter forend with case colored Deeley styled release and sling swivel. The case colored scalloped boxlock bolstered action has been built with case colored double triggers (front articulated), Kersten lock up mechanism and is non-auto safe. Honey colored stock with cheekpiece, 2 panel fine checkered pistol hand grip, sling swivel and newer black Decelerator recoil pad. Length of pull to center is 13 - 7/8". Matched colored forend also with fine checkering and case colored hardware. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Barrels with bright bores and retain mostly all of their original blue. Case colored action is tight and sound. Triggers are crisp and ejectors are in time. Stock and forend both excellent with very light handling marks. Very Nice Piece. CP
