Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall single shot rifle. Made 1893. Two line company address on the top of the barrel. Patent dates and serial number on the bottom tang. Caliber marked on the chamber. Octagon, steel barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn style v-notch rear. Factory case colored frame and lever, with the barrel being factory blued. Wood stock and forearm have been lightly re-finished. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with both finishes forming a heavy brown patina. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is heavily frosted with numerous pits. Fair rifling retained. Mechanically fine. JWA
