Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall single shot rifle. Made 1893. 2 line company address on the top of the barrel. Patent dates and serial number on the bottom tang. Caliber marked on the chamber. Octagonal steel barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn style v-notch rear. Factory case colored frame and lever, with the barrel being factory blued. Wood stock and forearm have their factory oiled finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general wear and some patina. The barrel has some light pitting around the front sight. Most of the case coloring is lost. Wood has handling marks and scratches. There are some chips around the frame line. Forearm is solid with no visible cracks. Bore is frosted with some minor pits. Good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
