Remington Model 1901 South American contract rolling block single shot rifle. Made circa 1900-1910 and sold on contract to presumably a South American country. "CAL. 7 M.M." marked on the barrel. Three line company address and patent dates on the tang. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and rear ladder adjustable to 1,900 meters. Frame is factory case colored, while the barrel is blued. Wood has a light oil finish, which looks to be factory as well. Smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Wood has minor dents, scratches and dents. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
