1883 Vintage Winchester Model 1873 rifle, serial number 101490A. 24-inch round barrel with full length magazine tube. Chambered in .44-40 WCF cartridge. Standard sights. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fair with a dark brown patina overall. Wood has been sanded with finish added showing moderate to heavy wear. Replaced buttplate does not fit well. Appears to have had a saddle ring at one time, ring staple is now replaced with two screws. Bore is dark. Action operates smoothly. MKS
