Colt Single Action Army with blackpowder frame, 5 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .44-40 Winchester Center Fire, blade front sight, frame notch rear, and 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips. Frame manufactured 1875, serial number 20697. Other serial numbers include 9151 on Ainsworth inspected trigger guard, and 66170 on butt. Replacement barrel is roll die engraved "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on left side, complete with later style low profile ejector rod head. Nickel plated finish applied at time of assembly. CONDITION: Good, with fair amounts of applied nickel plating remaining in protected areas with the majority of the revolver turned a dove gray patina with scattered handling and storage marks throughout. Grips are heavily worn with checkering flat, silhouettes of Rampant Colts visible on either side, repaired crack on left grip panel, and repaired chip on right. Good mechanics. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
