Smith and Wesson first model .44 double action revolver chambered in .44 Smith and Wesson Russian with serial number "15514". Nickel finished round butt frame with ribbed barrel. Pinned front sight and rear sight notch being part of knurled barrel latch. Manufacturer patent stamped on top of barrel rib. Knurled hammer and smooth faced double action trigger. Black checkered hard rubber grips with "SW" monogram on either side. CONDITION: Very good overall condition with almost all original finish remaining. Slight freckling especially towards muzzle and on cylinder. Hard rubber grips turning a light brown color with left grip having two hairline cracks. Slight scratches throughout. Semi bright bore with signs of oxidation. Good mechanics. GFP
