Lot consists of two items. A) Regulation pattern Civil War officer's crimson sash. Woven silk sash with woven turk's head knots over wood cores and end tassels. The regulation Civil War pattern for all officers up to the rank of general and all branches of service except medical staff and chaplains. CONDITION: Excellent. Nice color. Only two small holes that may have secured an old tag with the owner's name, now lost. B) White leather gauntlets. Heavy buff leather cuffs with loop on one and toggle on the other to fasten them together when not worn. Blue ink British War Department and issue number stamps inside. Period undetermined, but good for display with an officer's grouping. CONDITION: Very good. Minor dirt and stains from use.
