Barrel shank is stamped with markings stipulating the manufacturer, year of manufacturer, and serial number, with the left side being scrubbed from the time of arsenal refurbishment. PU scope was manufactured in 1942, bearing markings indicating arsenal refurbishment in 1964 and retains an original leather lens cap and arsenal wrapping paper. Bottom of barrel is import marked, with additional importer markings present on the left side of the rear sight base and right side of the receiver and barrel shank. Receiver, barrel, bolt, buttplate, and floorplate are arsenal matching. Scope is hand-scribed to match. Importer serial number present on top of receiver. Cleaning rod is present. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied finish, showing few minor areas of wear. Arsenal markings are partially obliterated due to being refinished. Bore is bright and retains strong rifling throughout. Stock retains most of its reapplied varnish, showing some areas of flaking and minor losses as well as some scattered handling marks. PU scope is excellent, retaining a clear optic and exhibiting some areas with old cosmoline. MLW
