1863 vintage Colt 1851 Navy single action percussion revolver, serial number 148267. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber with cone front sight and hammer notch rear. 1 piece plain wood grips. CONDITION: Fair, with original finishes turned a heavy brown patina with heavy handling marks and freckling throughout. Grips have been heavily cleaned and are void of finish but appear to be strong with no major cracks. Brass trigger guard and backstrap are a pleasing mellow patina. Wedge is a replacement with no wedge screw present. Trigger guard screw is a replacement. Action needs attention as hammer does not stay cocked and cylinder does not index properly. Bore is dark. A heavily worn but complete Civil War era revolver. TON
