1920, FRENCH: A wonderful taro card fortune teller automata with appropriately attired fortune teller, holding a tarot card. The box to his left will change cards, presumably for the patrons fortune. His motions include passing his hands over the cards, and his head moves as well. Composition construction, glass eyes, and the oak box has a label "Les Bonshommes De Watt, 8 Rue du Depart, Arcueil (Seine)". CONSIDERATIONS: This automata has a great look, showing age to the figure and the oak box, but nothing to distract from the overall appearance. The clothing is colorful and in good condition, the figure is complete, showing no repairs. Electro mechanical operation via toggle switch.
