1910, SWISS: A wonderfully whimsical target automation consisting of a painted wooden box with spring loaded doors. Inside is a dressed monkey with hat, winding a music box in his lap while the drums play. When the doors are shut, the automation is silent, when the handle is pulled the doors spring open and the music box play as the drum bangs. A fun carnival piece with a great look. CONSIDERATIONS: Showing wear from age, with some cracks in the wood box, some loss of paint to the box, but a great overall look. The monkey is a little sluggish playing the music box, but he does work, as does the drum.
