As per the included S&W archival letter, this revolver was shipped from the factory May 21, 1980 in a shipment of 70 guns with special "S.A.P.D" stamps under the cylinder. Revolver is as configured on letter with satin finished stainless K-frame, 4" pinned heavy barrel chambered for the potent .357 magnum cartridge, 5-shot fluted cylinder, and checkered walnut stocks with S&W medallions. This revolver was issued to San Antonia Police Detective Edward Guerra June 10, 1980 and was returned May 14, 1993, as documented by a copy of Guerra's police property list and a letter signed by Chief William Gibson on SAPD letterhead listing the revolver by serial number. CONDITION: Very Good. Revolver shows use with some surface scratching and other marks. Grips very good, retaining nearly all of their finish with a few marks. Good bright bore showing strong rifling. Crisp mechanics. BAS
