Sharps Model 4 derringer single action revolver. This is a "4C" model circa 1870s. Right side of the frame is marked "C.SHARPS PATENT/JAN 25. 1859". Serial number on the bottom of the slide-out barrel. Bead front sight. Blued barrel with a silver-plated frame. Birds head grip with Rosewood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general finish wear. Grips have scratches and handling marks. Bores have frosting and some minor pits. Hammer is tight. Mechanically fine but the release lever is very stiff. JWA
