Pre-War German Mauser S/42 Code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol. Made 1936, as marked on the chamber. "S/42" on the toggle. There is an "O.2250" on the front grip strap, indicating shipment to the Ostee base in Kiel. This gun has an "(Eagle) / Swastika" proof on the left side of the chamber and barrel. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout. "(Eagle) / 63" proofs on the right side of the chamber. Blade front sight and v-notch rear. Factory blued and straw finishes. Checkered wood grips are not numbered. No magazine is included with this gun. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with wear and patina on the left side of the frame. Straw is approximately 70%. Grips are excellent. Bore is lightly frosted with strong rifling. Mechanically fine.
