Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 double action revolver. Made 1977. "SMITH & WESSON" marked on the left side of the barrel with the caliber marked on the right. Company trademark and address on the right side of the frame. Matching serials on the butt and frame. 6-shot fluted cylinder. Round barrel with a ported muzzle. Ramped blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory nickel finish. Square butt frame. Case colored serrated trigger and spurred hammer. Later production smooth finish wood grips with finger grooves and gold monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with mild scratches and handling marks. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lock up. Light drag line on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
