Standard configuration Type 14 Nambu manufactured at the Kokubunji arsenal in February of 1940. Left side of frame bears kanji markings stipulating the model designation, with the right bearing the manufacturer symbols, serial number, and date code "15.2". Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being strawed. All numbers are matching with the exception of the magazine which is mismatched. Grips and firing pin are unnumbered. Pistol is accompanied by an earlier production clamshell leather holster containing a cleaning rod. Interior of flap bears stamped kanji as well as a period pasted label with handwritten characters below the holster's serial number. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning overall as well as some oxidation beneath the grips. Mirror bore, with good rifling throughout. Grips are very good. Grip screws are in-the-white. Holster is very good overall. MLW
