P.08 Police Luger manufactured by Mauser. The receiver is stamped "1939" over the chamber, with a "(Crown) / U" proof on the left, and an "(Eagle) / C" proof on the right. Toggle bears the Mauser banner logo. Safety marked "GESICHERT". Metal components are salt blued and frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips and retains its sear safety. All numbers including the magazine are matching with the exception of the grips, which are unnumbered. This example is accompanied by a brown leather holster stamped "KernKlager&Cie/ 1939/Berlin" above an eagle that contains a spare matching magazine and a contemporary "(Eagle) / b" stamped loading tool. Holster bears a handwritten "TH William C. Luckett" above a military serial number. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting few minor areas of wear and thinning overall. Rear grip strap shows an area of thinning to grey patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Primary magazine is dented and follower cannot be depressed. Grips show a few scattered nicks to the diamonds but are otherwise fine. Holster shows some scattered handling marks, as well as some staining around the bottom, but is otherwise fine.
