German Mauser Banner 1942 dated P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol. Made "1942" as marked on the barrel. "MAUSER" banner on the toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, including the grips. The firing pin was renumbered at some point, as do the grips. "(Eagle) / L" Police proof on the right side of the chamber, with an "(Eagle) / N" on the left. Both grips have an "Eagle / 135" waffenamt. Standard blade front sight and V-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered wood grips. Includes a blue steel body magazine with a numbered (nonmatching) aluminum bottom magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with general wear. some heavy scratches on the left side of the frame. Grips have finish wear, scratches, and handling marks. Bore is lightly frosted but retains crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has finish wear. JWA
