Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 double action revolver with case. Made 1962. Standard markings on both sides of the barrel. Trade mark and company address on the right side of the frame. Serial number stamped on the inside of the frame, cylinder face, and on the butt. There is a factory rework stamp, "R-Bi", on the inside of the left grip strap. Ramped blade front sight with adjustable u-notch rear. Blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger with a checkered spurred hammer. Checkered wood target grips with gold S&W medallions. Includes a later production (but original) blue velvet lined wood display box with cleaning tools. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some handling marks and scratches. Grips have a few handling marks, dings, scratches and dents. There is a chip out of the bottom as well. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Light drag line on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. The plastic/velvet interior has a few cracks, but otherwise the case is excellent. JWA
