Lot contains: (A) German World War II Heer cavalry officer's visor cap made in Feldgrau wool with light to moderate soiling and wear. Dark green wool center band with very light wear, 1" area of damage on the right side, several month nips, and heavy damage to the band's inner reinforcement. Golden yellow piping has moderate wear on the lower strand, and light on the rest. Heer aluminum eagle, wreath, and cockade are original to the cap with patina. Silver bullion officer chin cord has light wear and patina. Black vulkanfibre visor and crosshatched brown underside exhibit very light wear. Interior is fully lined in a light brown rayon with heavy damage and staining. Celluloid sweatshield is missing. Light gray leather sweatband has light wear and fraying. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Pre-WWII Heer cavalry enlisted Waffenrock in Feldgrau wool with very light wear, staining, nap wear, and moth tracking, with a 3" area of staining on the inner left sleeve. Golden yellow piped dark green wool cuffs, sewn in shoulder straps, and collar have light wear, with the left cuff having staining, and the left shoulder strap with light moth tracking. Inner cuffs have staining and fraying. Collar tabs are straight line machine stitched and flat wire breast eagle is hand applied. 8 button front with 1 button being a non-matching replacement, 3 plastic buttons for the collar liner, and 2 shoulder strap buttons. Green rayon full lining has moderate wear and staining, and is properly depot size marked "92, 40, 43, 80, 68", and "M38" for the Munich depot in 1938. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
