An Adams & Westlake No. 11 Steel Guard model (1897 pat.), nicely embossed "SANTA FE ROUTE" on the lid reflector, with "A 772" lightly stamped in embossed panel adjacent. Bayonet fount with No. 2 functioning ratchet burner is correct for this model. The bail locking device is missing the bail engagement loops but is otherwise intact. Globe is a very nice clear No. 39 extended base example, nicely embossed "Santa Fe Route" in serif font. The frame has great, uncleaned patina, with traces of original tin plating.
