Initially patented in 1914, this interesting trap device fires a .22 RF cartridge when an animal actuates its bait hook trigger. Traps of this type were banned from use by the 1930s. It features overall brass construction with a 6" rifled barrel. Trigger, mounting swivel spike, and pins are steel. CONDITION: Good. Brass displays a pleasant mellow patina with a few darker spots. Steel components retain portions of thinning finish with some cleaned corrosion spots. Markings crisp with rifling fine indicating only moderate use. The pin which retains the mounting spike is missing, and the trigger adjustment appears to have the incorrect screw. Trap is otherwise mechanically fine. BAS
