Slightly curved single edge blade with single fuller towards top on both sides. Brass "D" guard with forward-facing quillon. Spiraling cast brass grip. Chased smiling lion pommel of brass. CONDITION: Blade has been polished and sharpened, showing some darker areas and scattered pitting. Hilt retains a mustard patina. Chip missing at tip of capstan and there is a vacant hole on right side of Lion's head, probably drilled to hang the sword. PROVENANCE: Tom Grinslade Collection, Ex. Robert Wheeler. DMG
