Parker DH Grade side by side shotgun made by Parker Gun Company in 1897. Parker Serial number book lists this gun as a 32" barreled 12 gauge gun with no other options. Currently, the gun has a set of 30" 12 gauge barrels with rib marked that they are damascus, and lug is marked with correct serial number. Barrels appear to be sleeved and there is a line ahead of the chambers that would suggest that, but no other markings. Barrels now have 30" length with fixed Full and Full chokes and 3" chambers and extractors and appear to be fluid steel. Scarce No. 3 case colored frame with typical DH Grade Dog and vignette full coverage engraving, double triggers, and automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol stock with carved diamonds behind action, Parker skeleton steel buttplate, and German silver vanity plate with illegible name. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% plus remaining finish from a total reblue on barrels. Action worn to a silvery patina with screws having been turned. Wood has added finish with scratches and usage dings. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
