Manufactured 1921. Notch-and-post sights milled directly into barrel. Left side of slide with 2 line single block address and patent information, rampant Colt at rear. Right side marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 25" under ejection port on right side. "99" subinspector proof on right side of trigger guard, Colt VP proof, and "1" proof on left side. Mother of pearl grips with Colt inset "deep-dish" medallions/ Grip safety and heel magazine release. Accompanied by a Colt factory box with endlabel reading "COLT AUTOMATIC PISTOL / RIMLESS .25 SMOKELESS" with an additional "PEARL NICKEL" sticker. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the factory nickel with some clouding and surface scratches, primarily to slide. Right side of slide has a few small splotches from what appears to be a cleaning solution. Grips have great fire; medallions have verdigris and patina from age. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling and some minor oxidation in grooves. Box is very good with some rubs to high edges and some very minor separation starting at the apron corners; lid has kicked out just a touch on the left side. Legends are crisp.
