Lot Consists of: (A) Standard size pepperbox made circa late 1830s/early 1840s with 2-line Grafton address on bar hammer. Features include a .31 caliber 3-3/4" 6-barrel cluster with integral nipples, engraved frame, thin backstrap and smooth walnut grips with German silver spangles. CONDITION: Very Good. Barrel cluster exhibits a gray patina, with frame displaying a lighter, silvery patina. Some pitting present around nipples, with one nipple crushed. Grips have a dark appearance with a bruise on the right panel. Good bores and mechanics. Serial number 13 observed on many major components. (B) Produced at Worchester circa 1847 to the 1860s. Standard size hammerless pepperbox featuring 3" 6-shot .31 caliber barrel cluster, engraved frame, and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. Iron components exhibit a pleasing brown gray patina throughout. Grips very good with some light impressions. Bores good with some light pitting. PROVENANCE: EX Rich Guckes. BAS
