Lot consists of: (A) Civil War Era hand made knife with a 8 - 3/8" spearpoint blade, ovular crossguard, and wood handle. The guard and handle exhibit remnants of red paint. CONDITION: The blade exhibits a chocolate patina with dulled edges and tip. Overall fair. (B) Civil War Era hand made knife with a 6 - 3/8" spearpoint blade and crossguard with an angular bend at one end in order to facilitate a thumb rest. The handle is of wood with a brass pommel cap. Complete with leather scabbard. CONDITION: The blade exhibits a gray patina with pitting. Handle exhibits a significant crack behind the reinforcement. Overall fair. (C) Civil War Era hand made knife with a 6" spearpoint blade, down turned crossguard and wood handle. The knife blade appears to have been constructed of a file. CONDITION: Overall fair. (D) Civil War Era hand made knife with a 5 - 3/4" drop point blade and crossguard with an angular bend at one end in order to facilitate a thumb rest. Stag handle. CONDITION: Blade is heavily worn. Overall fair. (E) Civil War Era hand made knife with a 5 - 1/4" clip point blade and wood handle. Complete with leather scabbard. CONDITION: Blade exhibits cleaning and polishing with wear throughout. Overall good. PROVENANCE: Rich Guckes Collection. JLD
