Manufactured in 1863 during the Civil War. Desirable 6" .31 caliber octagon barrel with New York address, pin front sight, hammer notch rear, 5-shot percussion cylinder rollstamped with stagecoach holdup scene, brass grip straps, and 1-piece smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Good. Steel components exhibit a mottled gray patina throughout with a few spots of older oxidation. Cylinder scene partially visible. Grip straps have an honest pleasing mellowed patina with areas of the backstrap darkened to brown. Grips have some light impressions throughout. Dark bore displaying strong rifling. Crisp mechanics. Matching numbers observed on frame, barrel assembly, wedge, cylinder, and grip straps. BAS
