FN M44 Paratrooper Semi-Automatic Rifle manufactured in Belgium by FN and imported by HOWCO Distribution Inc. of Laurel, Maryland. 18" round barrel chambered in 7.62mm NATO with Belgian style flash hider, adjustable front sight, fixed combat rear sight, and adjustable gas block. Folding charging handle with sling swivels mounted to barrel and buttstock mount. Composite handguard and pistol grip complete with folding paratrooper rear stock. Bolt carrier serial number matches receiver. Only approximately 1375 of these semi-auto paratrooper configuration Belgian made FALs were imported by HOWCO before the Assault Weapons Ban of 1989. CONDITION: Excellent plus, with virtually all of the original finishes remaining. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is excellent plus, bright and shiny with sharp rifling. If you are looking for an original pre-Ban semi-auto FAL, this one would be difficult to pass up. TON
