1 of only approximately 2,500 P.38-K pistol manufactured by Walther between the mid 1970s to early 1980s. The left side of the slide is stamped with the Walther banner logo followed by Walther's manufacturer information above "P38-K", with the right side bearing a German "(Eagle) / N" commercial nitro proof, followed by the serial number, an Interarms import stamp, as well as a "MADE IN GERMANY" stamp. Aluminum alloy frame exhibits a black enamel finish, with the slide, barrel, and other components retaining a parkerized finish. Features include a 2 - 3/4" barrel, frame mounted front sight, square notch rear sight, decocker, as well as 2-piece checkered black plastic grips. Pistol is accompanied by its matching factory case, containing its matching factory paper test target, manuals, limited warranty card cleaning rod, as well as a spare magazine. CONDITION: Near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory applied finishes, exhibiting few minute superficial marks from handling and storage overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips are excellent. Black plastic factory case shows a few minor marks from handling and storage and is missing the left lid "nipple", but is otherwise fine. An exceptional example of a rare Walther P.38-K that one would find to be a difficult example to upgrade from. MLW
